As an all-volunteer organization, hub88 has an active Board of Directors and an Advisory Board of volunteer professionals who step up to create highly valuable programs and client-member services. Since inception in mid-2018, hub88 has served over 1,000 community members coming from over 400 companies and organizations.

Matt O’Sullivan – Chairman
Matt is a versatile growth executive who’s been a trusted advisor with a breadth of board experience and leadership proven in multiple sectors. Segment expertise spans aerospace, automotive, CPG, data science, energy, IoT, medical, software, technology, and more. He’s held executive positions at Panduit, Milton Industries, and Trostel, Ltd.
Mark Hinch – Co-Founder, Director
Mark is highly experienced in the architecture, development, analysis, support, and management of high reliability, real-time and embedded systems with a 30+ history in Voice and Data communications. He now runs a boutique consultancy to pass on hard-won learnings in R&D, Technical Sales and Support, Offshoring, Organization Design, (and many others) to other companies.
Phillip Hofmann, CFA – Co-Founder, Director
Phil focuses on startup opportunities and support of the entrepreneurial community. Originally a software developer and investment analyst, he helped launch and sell several businesses focused on finance and investment technology products. He is the Managing Director of the West Suburban Angels and mentor to several startups. He currently runs TheStartupMagazine.com, an online entrepreneurship publication.
Kenn Miller, Co-Founder, Director, Founding Chairman
Kenn is an entrepreneur, investor, and community leader. He served on the Naperville City Council and continues to serve on many community boards. After years in medical device sales and management including at Baxter Healthcare, Kenn co-founded a medical device company and co-founded Autism Home Support Services. He was a founding board member of the ConVerge Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at North Central College. He is a co-founder of the West Suburban Angels investment group.
Martha Carney – Co-Founder, Director Emeritus
As CEO and Founder of Outsourced Innovation®, Martha left big pharma to launch Big Idea classrooms. She has helped usher forward hundreds of startup ventures. She is accomplished in building ecosystems in education to support student tech innovators.
Martha is passionate about empowering young women in STEM and advocates for entrepreneurship as a means of self-employment. Martha is recognized by the Daily Herald as among the Most Influential Women in Business.
Martha holds a Masters degree from Keller Graduate School of Business and a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
